Teeccino Manufacturing Crisis – A Note From Caroline

If you’ve been trying to buy Teeccino on our website, you will have seen a number of out-of-stock flavors and pack sizes. Since April, we have been in the middle of a crisis brought on by the demise of our production facility where Teeccino has been manufactured for the last 12 years.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, that facility was closed permanently in April and the company that owned it was put into liquidation. Since then we have been moving as quickly as possible to relocate all of Teeccino’s manufacturing machinery to a new facility. Organic certification had to be resubmitted as part of the process and this has added to the delay to restart manufacturing.

We anticipate Teeccino will be back in production by early June and we expect to be shipping by mid June. In the meantime, our advice is to look for Teeccino in stores or try buy different pack sizes on our website or from other etailers.

Unfortunately, this change in production venue has also meant that prices for Teeccino 11oz bags will have to rise. We are doing our best to keep any price increase to a minimum. We hope that your understanding will bear with us during this time of transition.

    I just placed an order yesterday for a few of the dandelion coffees. Are those also on delay due to the manufacturing facility? When I ordered, I did not see anything that stated a delay, so I am hoping I am “safe.”

    Good look in getting the other facility up and going!

    I’m stocking up – what’s the shelf-life, or a ball park shelf-life if it varies between products?

      Hi Katy,

      Thanks for your question. The shelf life of Teeccino products is about 3 years from the date they are manufactured. Each bag or box has an expiration date printed. We also recommend storing your Teeccino in a sealed, cool, dry place rather than in a refrigerator or freezer.

    Thanks! My summer breakfast is a smoothie with peanut butter, banana, and almond or hazelnut teeccino; I’d be lost without it.

    Oh, and I really appreciate you not charging shipping for the samples – I got the chocolate sample pack recently and am loving the raspberry and mint flavors.

  5. Shew! When I started reading this I thought you were shutting down! I buy at my local HSU. They stock for me and the other fans…..but I usually buy several at a time so I am stocked through June while you get settled in to your new place. I’m a singer and had to stop for six months because my caffine (regular) coffee habit had given me such terrible acid reflux I had blistering on my vocal chords. I got fed up one night and combed the web for an alternative…. found your Hazelnut Teecino and it saved me! When I went to the throat Dr. I told him he should offer your product to his coffee addicts to help them….he said he would check it out. Thanks for making such a quality product!
